The acclaimed annual project of the Albuquerque Chapter of the Chinese American Citizens Alliance returns for a day of intrigue, remembrance and the magic of BAMBI!

Though the event is free, a suggested donation to support the project of $10 a person is asked. For that donation an entire day’s worth of media consumption can be had!

At 10:00am we start with the Emmy Award documentary Abacus, followed at 11:00am by a Panel discussion featuring Abacus Bank’s Chantrelle Sung and our very own County Treasurer Nancy Bearce.

At 1:00pm we continue our program with the documentary Tyrus, about Tyrus Wong, the conceptual artist behind Bambi. 2:15pm a Q & A with Pamela Tom the director of the documentary.

At 3:00pm we continue remembering mavericks and ancestors with The Canton Army in the High Sierras, a documentary about the Chinese Workers who built the western and most treacherous leg of the Transcontinental Railroad.

And 3:30pm we start the festive, timeless beauty that is BAMBI. The 1942 Disney Classic comes to the screen again.

Our Film Festival is made possible by our Sponsors.
